Sri Lankan batting star, Kumar Sangakkara has been placed No. 1 in the International Cricket Council (ICC) Test batsman rankings list. Sangakkara rose to the top of the list with 920 points.
Sangakkara overtook AB de Villiers at the top of the rankings, with the South African relinquishing the top spot for the first time since October 2013. The 30-year-old’s Test captain Hashim Amla retains his third spot on the table, with Australian opener David Warner making up the top four.
Sri Lankan captain Angelo Mathews has grabbed the fifth place in the list, with 862 points. Mahela Jayawardene has been placed 14th in the Test batsman rankings.
Meanwhile, Rangana Herath has been placed sixth in the Test Bowlers Rankings, with 797 points.
