he project is being implemented by the National Water Supply and Drainage Board with loan funds by the ADB. There are 15 major contract packages to be awarded to implement the various components of the project in the towns of Puttalam, Chillaw, Vavuniya and Mannar and the above is one such contract.
The contract includes two ground reservoirs, an elevated tower and a chlorination system. The proposal was made by the Minister of Water Supply and Drainage and it was approved by the Cabinet.
