» » Schools to be closed for paper-marking

he Department of Examinations says that the schools to be used as G.C.E Advanced Level Examination paper-marking centres will be closed from September 2. The Commissioner General of Examinations W.M.N.J. Pushpakumara said that the marking of examination papers will take place under three phases.

 The Department of Examinations said that under the first phase, Royal College Colombo, St Mary's College in Kegalle, Dharmadutha Vidyalaya Badulla will be used for paper-marking adding that these schools will re open on September 9.

 The Pamburana Saripuththa Vidyalaya in Matara, President's College in Fort, Anula Devi Vidyalaya in Galle, Uswathul Hasanaa Vidyala, Kingswood College Kandy, Mahamaaya Girls High School and Mahanama College are to re-open on September11.

 The Department of Examinations added that Gothami Junior School, of Gampaha, the Kalutara Girls School, Ratnapura Furgerson, Maliyadeva Model School in Kurunegala, Vidyalaya and Sarasavi Uyana Maha Vidyalaya in Peradeniya will re-open on September 11.
