Elections Secretariat says election law violation complaints have increased

The Elections Secretariat says that the number of complaints related to violation of election laws has risen to 56. The Secretariat added that two major complaints relating to violence was reported from the Matale and Kurunegala districts.

 The most number of complaints relating to the violation of election laws, have been reported from the Kurunegala District with the number of complaints standing at 12.

 According to the Elections Secretariat, ten complaints have been received from the Matale District, five from the Kandy District, three from the Mullaitivu District and two complaints each from the Nuwara Eliya and Puttalam districts.
