Senior government minister willing to create ethnic differences: Mannar bishop

Bishop of Mannar district Rev. Irayappu Joseph blamed senior government minister willing to create ethnic differences between two communities.
Special representatives of President Mahinda Rajapaksa met Mannar bishop at Vavuniya recently.


Bishop recently sent special letter towards president recently. According to the letter senior minister has influenced on development activities and providing job opportunities to people in the Vavuniya, Mullaitivu and Mannar districts.

During the time of meeting Bishop informed officials that senior minister cause disturbances to provide reliefs for war victims in the area.

At present ethnic differences upraise among Muslim and Tamil communities residing in the Vavuniya, Mullaitivu and Mannar areas and also urge president to hold investigations this regard, International media reports.
