thayan Newspaper in Jaffna was set on fire.

 An unidentified group that broke into the press Saturday morning set the place on fire. Editor of the newspaper D.Premanandan said that three individuals arrived to carry out the alleged attack.

 He further said that they fired into the air to instil fear in the security guards. Police Media Spokesperson SP Buddhika Siriwardena said that information has been received that the suspects were wearing helmets during the time of the attack.

 Police confirmed that the suspects fired into the air to instil fear in the security guards. Investigations are underway to arrest the perpetrators.
