According to the Met Department there will be showers or thundershowers at times in the sea areas off the northern and eastern coasts. It is predicted that showers or thundershowers may occur at several places in the other sea areas around the country as well.
Winds will be southwesterly and the speed will be 20-40 kmph.
The Met Department said that the sea areas off the coast extending from Puttalam to Kankesanthurai via Mannar and from Hambantota to Pottuvil may be rough at times as winds can strengthen up to 60kmph.
