The director of immigration and emigration department Choolananda Perera announced that department decided to introduce new passport with high quality photograph with international standard.
According to this decision photographs for the passport could be taken at registered studios.
At present steps are been taken to register studios in the immigration and emigration department.
Applications would be accepted till October 15.
