Sri Lanka's major Tamil party, Tamil National Alliance (TNA) will hold a special meeting today to discuss the post-election procedures.
A TNA spokesman said the party would discuss the swearing in and assuming duty of the Northern Provincial Council members. The party will also discuss and decide on appointing bonus councilors s and the ministers in the Provincial Council.
The party is also expected to focus on the issues regarding power sharing including the recent Supreme Court ruling that the state lands do not belong to the Provincial Councils.
The meeting will be held under the patronage of the TNA leader R. Sampanthan and the Chief Minister-elect C.V. Vigneswaran.
All the leaders of the constituent parties of the Tamil National Alliance will take part in the discussion.
