Vocational training for northern youths

Northern Provincial Council decided to commence vocational training for thousands of youth in the province. Red Cross together with Vocational Training Commission has taken necessary steps this regard. During the four months training on electrician, carpentry and plumbing. Officials headed by the northern governor hold special discussion this regard recently.


 Youth would be selected from all districts in the Northern Province. 225 youths would be selected from Jaffna district.

 75 students would be trained at Marudhankeny, Kaarainagar, Kaithadi vocational training centers.

 Red Cross agreed to donate Rs.7000/- while northern provincial council agreed to donate Rs.3000/- for youths participating in the training session.

 Vocational Training will commence on July 15.
